Builders who are planning to buy new bricklaying tools have been advised to invest in the most reliable items they can afford.

According to Tim Carter of AsktheBuilder.com, very few construction professionals can afford to purchase every single bricklaying tool they want to have.

This, he said, means that people must determine which items they actually need more than those they want.

However, Mr Carter stated that it is a good idea not to opt for the cheapest product, as paying a little extra can be a good investment in the long term.

"The extra money you spend on quality tools pays for itself many times over," he commented.

Mr Carter said bricklaying tools will be exposed to many tough and extreme conditions when they are being used on a building site.

As a result, he believes builders must opt for items that can stand up to a lot of "abuse".

Sticking to particular brands could be one good way to ensure your bricklaying tools meet certain standards.
